Samsung S6 Edge camera is fab
super fast, still not as consistent as iPhone
And the bloatware also makes it slower. Disable the S6's bloatware and you are left with a great camera that can be triggered easily and consistently and super quickly by double clicking the physical button. Bravo Samsung! Now please fix the rest of your really bad software by deleting most of it!
In 2 years digital mirrorless sales will be bigger than DSLR
(according to Steve Huff)
Check back on June 5, 2017! I think Steve is right:
>Mel says:
>I don’t think digital mirrorless will take a lead role over DSLR.
>Not next 10 years. There are too many issues to be fixed.

20th century cameras:like cell phones set to airplane mode with the WiFi turned off and no apps installed.
hilariously true
via thom hogan. wow so true: "20th century cameras:like cell phones set to airplane mode with the WiFi turned off and no apps installed". I think this should be nailed to the doors of the R&D Labs of Canikon, Ol*mpus, F*ji etc
Traditional Standalone cameras are dead!
But there's still hope if they become social cameras
Stand alone cameras are dead for amateurs who are not enthusiasts, i.e. I agree with Om. Not dead for the Rolands, Michaels, Hubs and Ludos of the world. A "truly connected to the internet taking true advantage of software camera" in other words a social camera that works as a complement with the iPhones and Android phones of the . . .
Tired of the Fuji Android app
why do I always have to manually connect it to my Android Phone?
After the first time, it shouldn't prompt me to connect for GPS! Just connect already without any prompts! Except for that, it seems better than the Olympus Android app.

iPhone6 Plus camera impressions
consistent with a Capital "C"
- Consistent Auto Focus
- Consistent Shutter Lag
- Consistent Colour
- Consistently easy to launch from the lock screen
All in all a reliable camera which you can't really say for the 1020 and lots of other cameraphones. And all those 10000s of camera apps of which dozens are actually great which you can't say . . .
What I really want is: open source RAW camera app on Firefox OS
pretty please ?
But in the meantime I'll settle for an open source RAW camera app that I can send pull requests to on iOS or Android or heck for the 3 of us who use Windows Phones, Windows Phone. (and if I can't get that Google fund Camera FV-5 and Manual app in the meantime :-) )
